AI Enhanced Personalised and Inclusive Learning

This course explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support personalised and inclusive learning by enabling educators to better address the diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles of all students. Participants will gain practical experience with AI-powered educational tools that assist in lesson planning, differentiated instruction, formative assessment, feedback, accessibility, and student engagement. Through hands-on workshops, collaborative activities, and the exploration of real classroom applications, educators will learn how to integrate AI ethically and effectively to create more inclusive, learner-centred environments. The course also examines the opportunities and challenges of AI in education, including data privacy, responsible use, and strategies for ensuring equitable access and meaningful learning for every student.

Course aim

The aim of this course is to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching and learning in order to support personalised, inclusive, and student-centred education. Participants will explore AI-powered tools and innovative pedagogical approaches that enable differentiated instruction, improve accessibility, enhance student engagement, and support learners with diverse educational needs. The course also aims to promote the ethical, responsible, and inclusive use of AI while empowering educators to design equitable learning experiences that foster academic success, digital competence, and lifelong learning.

Course content

The course covers the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence in education, with a focus on its application to personalised and inclusive learning. Participants will explore AI-powered tools for lesson planning, differentiated instruction, adaptive learning, formative and summative assessment, feedback generation, accessibility, and learning analytics. The programme examines strategies for supporting learners with diverse educational needs, including students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and gifted students, through AI-enhanced teaching practices. Additional topics include prompt engineering for educators, the ethical and responsible use of AI, data privacy, digital inclusion, and the development of learner-centred instructional approaches. Through practical workshops, collaborative activities, and the design of classroom-ready resources, participants will gain the skills needed to integrate AI effectively into their everyday teaching practice.

Methodology

The course is delivered through an interactive, learner-centred methodology that combines expert input with practical, hands-on learning. Participants engage in workshops, demonstrations of AI-powered educational tools, collaborative group activities, case studies, problem-based learning, and project-based tasks to explore the use of AI for personalised and inclusive education. Real classroom scenarios are used to develop strategies for differentiated instruction, adaptive assessment, and accessible learning. The methodology also includes peer learning, reflective discussions, micro-teaching activities, and study visits to schools or educational institutions successfully integrating AI into teaching and learning. Continuous feedback and guided reflection support participants in developing classroom-ready resources and action plans for the ethical and effective implementation of AI in their own educational settings.
